Born, raised and trained as a Master Baker in the Netherlands, Jurri van den Broek began working as a head baker in a department store. After that, he decided to gather some international experience, starting as a production bakery manager on the Maldives. He then went through different stations, employed as a head baker on the 6* cruise line "Crystal Serenity", in the 5* "Emirates Palace Hotel" in Abu Dhabi (UAE) as well as the 5* "Kempinski Hotel" in Doha (Qatar).
In 2013, he returned to Europe and joined IREKS in Kulmbach (Germany). As an International Technical Consultant, he was responsible for several countries like the United Kingdom, Ireland, South Africa, Egypt and many countries of South and Central America. Now his focus is on Canada as well as the United States.
If he is not working on new recipes or standing in the bakery, you can probably find Jurri doing sports. He loves to go cycling and is always up for a run. Besides that, he is also a passionate soccer fan. Finally, you can imagine that Jurri loves to travel around the world to get in touch with different cultures and visit stunning places.
