IREKS GmbH has been a member of the VEA initiative “Climate-friendly medium-sized companies” since May 2021. By joining forces, medium-sized companies from Germany want to show that “Made in Germany” does not only stand for quality, but also for sustainability and a responsible use of energy resources.
As a member, IREKS cooperates with other companies to use energy resources even more efficiently and to rely more on climate-friendly energies.
Especially as a family-owned company from the food industry, it is important for us to implement measures that consistently pursue climate protection goals while at the same time taking into account competitiveness as well as regional and social aspects.
Current developments and the latest technologies are exchanged among the members who learn from one another on the basis of best practice examples. To exchange as many experiences and ideas as possible in a simple and fast way, a digital platform was established within the framework of the initiative. Here, member companies can search for suitable solutions and further ideas just like in a large reference book. If desired, a contact person in the respective partner company is named directly to the person searching.
As a member, we have contributed our experience with a wide range of measures. Among other things, we have shown the potential of virtual or more efficient physical data servers, of highly efficient heat exchangers and of measures in the compressed air network.
The initiative creates transparency and promotes knowledge transfer among the participating companies. Through networking and digitalisation, the initiative can bring climate management into the practice of medium-sized companies.
