iba 2023: A little foretaste

From 22 to 26 October 2023, the iba will take place in Munich – with IREKS, of course! We show innovative ideas, concepts and new developments and would like to find ways into the future together with you.

“Trend-strong, surprising, pioneering – that’s how we see the iba 2023! We are really looking forward to personal exchange and the realisation of creative, individual solutions together with our customers from all over the world. Because now it’s all about jointly shaping the future.” This is what IREKS Managing Director Dr Sabine Krätzschmar has set as the goal for the industry-wide get-together. Would you like a little foretaste?


PASTE FOR TASTE – One paste, a thousand possibilities

Juicy malt grains and seeds as well as aromatic malt flours and coarse malt together with a little sourdough and salt combined in a flavouring paste that can be processed immediately and is storage stable: These are our PASTE FOR TASTE products! Using them, bakeries have no limits when it comes to refining baked goods. No matter whether for hearty bread or crispy rolls, for airy baguettes or tender yeast dough baked goods. No matter whether made from wheat, rye or spelt – our flavouring pastes are ideal for any type of baked goods, bringing flavour and variety to your range in a very simple way. Thanks to the flexible quantity of addition of 10 to 40 %, an individual flavour intensity can be achieved – regardless of whether PASTE FOR TASTE is added during dough preparation or kneaded into the finished dough. The baked goods specialities are not only visually appealing, but also a real culinary highlight with their unmistakable malty-sweet character and the whole grains and seeds included.



MELLA-MOHN GOURMET – Small seeds, big taste

What makes the perfect piece of poppy baked goods? It is the quality of the poppy seeds used! As one of few manufacturers of poppy products worldwide, we therefore follow the production of our poppy products from the selection of the poppy variety to the cultivation of poppy and the production of the finished product. Our new product MELLA-MOHN GOURMET does not form an exception to this. Thanks to its high poppy seed content, the filling has an attractive, dark appearance and a full-bodied, strong poppy flavour without any bitterness. It gives baked goods a long-lasting juiciness, has excellent spreading and piping qualities and is baking and freezing stable. This makes it particularly versatile in a wide variety of baked goods, such as the classic poppy striezel or poppy cake, in poppy franzbrötchen or for refining sponge cake batters and plain cake batters, and even in the production of desserts. The sky is the limit!
