IREKS NORTH AMERICA Ltd. has been fulfilling the requirements of the SQF (Safe Quality Food) program since 2013 to offer our customers and partners a very high level of quality in connection with all of our products.
SQF’s multistage approach has been designed to meet the needs of suppliers, the food industry, and consumers. The SQF Code offers a solution for primary producers, manufacturers, distributors, and brokers by creating one standard for food safety from farm to fork.
Apart from quality related certifications, there are certifications for kosher products that comply with the particular regulations of the Jewish religion. Those certificates have extremely specific demands.
At IREKS, each kosher product is certified individually. That is to say, for every product, a religiously trained or commissioned person will evaluate if a certification is eligible.
FSSC stands for “Food Safety System Certification” and is based on the international standard ISO 22000. For many years now, our food safety management system for the production of baking ingredients and malts at our headquarters in Kulmbach has been certified in accordance with recognised and current food safety standards of the Global Food Safety Initiative.
